  • My family are currently watching my mother begin on her Dementia decline. This is hard to watch so I decided to write about online to help with loss of watching her going away.

    Hello World!

    My mother has been slowly losing her memory and repeating questions frequently. We managed to her to GP in the last couple of weeks for a check. She got the a few things wrong like address they give her remember. She had her 80 birthday the week before (born 1946) but she convinced it 2022 no matter how many times she asked. It was hard for us to take that she got these wrong. She had blood test and is waiting for referral to the memory clinic. My sister and I have suspected that this would be case but its still hard to know that while she alive we will be losing her in front of our eyes. My brothers have buried their head in the sand currently. She is remaining independent at present but we are having to remind her to do things.
